We recently rolled out our Managed Print Program on 60 of our smaller desktop printers. From the start we knew this program was going to save us money. We did a comparison of the per page cost vs what some of our larger departments were spending on toner and they came in substantially cheaper. We were sold on the cost savings, but to top it off, we get maintenance on these printers which saves time/energy for our Technology Services department, and auto ship of toners! This program also helps to review volumes on these smaller printers. We are now seeing more easily how much, or how little, some of these printers are being used and were able to remove several low volume printers before the program even started.
Considering our history and relationship with WDI’s sales, support, and entire staff we’ve interacted with, it was no surprise that when I was presented with the idea of a Managed Print Service, my interest was piqued.
